THE POSTPARTUM PUZZLE- PIECING IT ALL TOGETHER

Whether you are an expectant, new or seasoned parent, the maze of motherhood - for all its miracle and beauty - has the potential to be a wild and sometimes disorienting ride. Our instincts often tell us what needs to get done, but the world we live in - full of information and noise - frequently leaves us distracted, confused and full of second-guesses. We invite you to spend an hour piecing together the postpartum puzzle by clearing the clutter and getting back to basics. During an informal and interactive session three local experts will help identify common, yet preventable and very fixable, post-partum issues. Leading this judgment-free workshop will be: Jennifer Dicicco, PT, DPT, who has spent her career dedicated to supporting normal physical development of infants and toddlers. Her goal is to provide simple and achievable ways to help your baby meet their developmental milestones. Through this workshop she will help parents implement strategies to minimize head shape flatness as well as assist with creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for your baby. Brenda Gajowski, PT, DPT, owner of She Thrives Physical Therapy and Wellness, who specializes in prenatal and postpartum health. Brenda recognizes that moms are the cornerstone to a family's well-being which is why her passion lies in helping women reconnect their bodies to promote optimal healing and a return to effective, pain-free and leak-free activity. In this workshop, she will cover simple strategies for restoring breath patterns, alignment and deep core engagement. Morgan Griffith, owner of Sleep Pea, a local infant and toddler sleep consultancy, serving families nationwide. Morgan's mission – and passion – is to empower families to understand and respond to their child's sleep needs over day, weeks, months and years. Recognizing that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to the hotly-contested topic of healthy sleep, Morgan will debunk various myths associated with sleep teaching as well as how to avoid common pitfalls associated with infant and toddler sleep. Knowing what to expect in your postpartum journey as well as how to respond and when to take action can be instrumental in replacing anxiety and stress with confidence, peace and joy. We look forward to seeing you and helping you plan for this very special time in your life.
